Q & A with Patrick

Describe your journey to WelcomeHome?

I've worked with various software companies and held roles in Training, Implementation, Customer Success, and Sales. I worked with K-12 public school districts ranging from very small to the largest districts in the country, helping them to choose technology in child nutrition, data visualizations, and parent communication.

I then joined a giant software startup in the international logistics industry, Flexport. It was a very interesting experience to learn the complexity of getting goods from the overseas manufacturer to the final destination in the US, especially during the pandemic.

My last stop before WelcomeHome was with a friend who has a consulting business that works exclusively with SL operators, helping them evaluate, select, and implement technology. She brought me in on a couple of projects, and I caught the SL bug. I was fortunate enough to meet with WelcomeHome, and I couldn't be happier!

What do you love about working in sales?

I love helping make people's lives easier and less stressful through technology.

Why WelcomeHome?

I want to be part of a team that works together to help the greater good. The fact that we have the best technology and Customer Success teams is a huge bonus!

What makes a successful leader?

The best leaders I've worked with are not only forward-thinking but can also get their hands dirty and help tactically with the job at hand.

Favorite quotes?

Seinfeld

Frank: Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

Kramer: What happened to the doll?

Frank: It was destroyed. But out of that a new holiday was born. A Festivus for the rest of us.

Kramer: That must have been some kind of doll.

Frank: She was.

Caddyshack

Carl: If he bothers you, I'll take care of him. What you've got to do is cut the hamstring on the back of his leg right at the bottom. He'll never play golf again, because his weight displacement goes back, all his weight is on his right foot, and he'll push everything off to the right. He'll never come through on anything. He'll quit the game.
